BEAT ENERGY BILLS AND CLIMATE CHANGE
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
WHAT THEY SAY
' Priceless Union is fun, intriguing and a pleasant, easy read. The story remains strong and I particularly enjoyed the mystery surrounding the paintings.'

When I left Sussex University armed with my degree in Environmental Sciences, I was excited to offer my energy to anyone interested. I knocked on more than fifty doors, offering myself as a ground-level sustainability advocate. I would have taken nearly any role.
Business turned its back on the 12 new graduates from Sussex University; not one of us gained employment in anything remotely relevant to climate, sustainability or even energy savings. It would be up to me to create my own vehicle for leaving Planet Earth clean and green.
So, after decades in business, I set up Eco-Economix to give independent and impartial advice, in plain English, on energy savings, renewable energy and reducing clients’ carbon footprints. Recently, I wrote ‘Beat Energy Bills and Climate Change’ to explain the urgency of the crisis happening now.
What will wake politicians from their sleep-walking? After a life-time of watching cans being kicked down the road, I believe only one fear will force the remaining climate-denying politicians to do the right thing: losing their parliamentary seats. So, we should speak urgently to those who need our votes to retain their jobs.
Carbon will kill many more people than Covid ever could. We are in a war - a war against anyone aiding and abetting the extraction, justification and subsidy of fossil fuels. All of us can see the damage caused by Climate Change. But very few of us fully appreciate the urgency. The course we are on takes us beyond dangerous climate tipping points that change even more of our lives for ever. Action is needed now.
When I’m not on my energy-saving, climate-change soap-box I write romance-mystery novels, research ancient Egypt, keep fit with cycling, rowing and tennis. I advocate for endangered and iconic species such as tigers - and for human and animal rights. I love cats and have spent the majority of my life in service to them, sometimes several at a time.
I am married to the love of my life, have two adult children, each of whom I am immensely proud - and live carbon-negative in our home in Wiltshire.
